for context darkwatcher is possibly the most controversial ship in all of human history (worse than bramblesquirrelash and the drama that it entailed, which is A Feat). you see darkstalker happens to be a genocidal maniac with a god-complex and is also a rabid nationalist and racist (but only against 1 race in particular). it's a bit of A Problem. he also tries to manipulate moon into thinking he's good (and succeeds, actually). which is also A Problem. but since i cant be fucking assed to do shit with them as an abusive couple we end up with my deranged stuff, where either:

moon somehow succeeds in making darlie good when clearsight and fathom and co. failed

peacemaker madness (insane amounts of trolling involved)

darlie was always good all along/turned when he was asleep (examples include totiok's plans where this is implemented in... a weird way, or this other idea i just got.)

all are rather implausible and stand out against the One Existing Darkwatcher Fic (which is dead and one of the first things i read. gods younger me was upset when i found out not many shipped this), in which moon basically lives with him and she has to do something to get out of being his queen. arc 2 never happened, i guess... the timeline is fucked here.
